Say hello to Monster's Insight
The mobile project has a name. Monster's Insight is an auto-battler where you play Mortis, a summoner who wakes up dead in his own graveyard because a chest has been shouting into the hole he was buried in. The chest reckons that if you can raise the dead you can probably raise yourself, all the way back to human, so off you go to find out whether that is even possible.
The hook is Insight. Kill something often enough and you learn how it goes together, and once you know that, the chest can summon one for you. One of them walks beside you and the other one you wear, so beating a Skeleton Golem is how you get to be a Skeleton Golem. Your party can share a class or an element, never both, which is the one rule the whole team-building sits on.
What is in the build so far: the opening cutscene and a guided tutorial that makes you actually press the buttons rather than watching it happen, six playable classes with their own skill pools, a chest with five pull types, the Geometric Socket Board for charms and sigils, hex overworld levels assembled fresh each run, a Trial Dungeon mode, and a full loadout screen reached by tapping whichever party member you want to fiddle with.
Two currencies. Soul Shards come off the things you kill. Obols are the coin you put in a dead man's mouth to pay the ferryman, and the chest will take one in exchange for a summon. Same odds boost either way, no power locked behind them.
It is on TestFlight now for internal testing. Combat balance is the next thing on the bench.
